
Isidre Rigau is an Advisory Board member at Qantara Sports. He brings a successful career of over 35 years in external auditing applied in strategic planning of major events, in addition he advises high performance training centers. Isidre’s areas of expertise are program & project management, organizational development, external auditing applied to major events, and sports infrastructure development.
During the Summer Olympic Games of Barcelona’92 he led sports logistics, following the games he founded the sports consulting firm SummaSports. The company acted as internal consultant for IOC during major events such as Sidney 2000, Salt Lake City 2002, Athens 2004, Torino 2006 and Beijing 2008, amongst others. In addition, he led event bidding and operations for international events such as FINA World Championships Barcelona 2003, Candidate city bid Madrid 2012 and 2016, Davis Cup Final Barcelona 2009, and World Roller Games Barcelona 2018. He collaborates with high performance centers such as CAR Sant Cugat and is currently advising on the development of an altitude high performance center in Andorra at 2508m.
As professor, he lectures on strategic planning and operations at different universities and training centers such as Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona, Pompeu Fabra, U.C.L.M.-R.F.E.F. and others. Isidre holds a bachelor in Architecture by the Architectural School of Vallés, Barcelona.
