Ted Johnson has spent three decades helping high-profile businesses and
organizations succeed. He has worked with organizations as diverse as major league sports, public health organizations, non-profits, start-ups and some of the US (and world’s) most respected corporate brands.
Recent “Big Ideas” include launching a new esports franchise and winning the NBA2K League Championship in 2019, completing the Target Center renewal, developing the training complex at Mayo Clinic Square, acquiring and transitioning the G-League franchise in Iowa, rebranding the three franchises, and international projects and business initiatives in China. He led the organization’s efforts in esports with the creation and management of the T-Wolves Gaming franchise. This team plays in the NBA2K League and won the championship in its first year as an expansion team. As part of the effort, I led the design and construction of a next-generation esports training facility.
Johnson is an honors graduate from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with degrees in political science and history. He is very active in the Twin Cities community serving on eight association & non-profit boards and active with a dozen more. He is married and has a daughter and a son.
